The Shri Radhakrishna Temple Seva Samiti, Regency Anantam Utsav Mandal, and Shri Radhakrishna Temple Bhajani Mandal came together to organize a grand Shri Krishna Janmashtami Utsav and Dahi Handi celebration at Regency Anantam’s Radhakrishna Temple. This two-day event was filled with devotion, joy, and community spirit, bringing together men and women from across the area to honor the birth of Lord Krishna.
Held at the serene Radhakrishna Temple in Regency Anantam, the celebration began with soulful bhajans, followed by the midnight Shri Krishna Janmotsav Puja and Abhishek. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the 56 Bhog offering to Lord Krishna, partake in the special aarti, and receive teerth prasad.
The following day, the festivities continued with the Nandotsav Gopalkala Matki Utsav, where participants showcased their enthusiasm and teamwork by forming human pyramids to break the Dahi Handi, recreating the playful spirit of Lord Krishna.
Day 1: Shri Krishna Janmashtami Utsav (August 26, 2024)

- Bhajan Presentation: Local groups performed soulful bhajans, filling the temple with devotional melodies.
- Shri Krishna Janmotsav Puja and Abhishek: At midnight, the divine birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with a special puja and abhishek.
- 56 Bhog Offering: Devotees offered 56 varieties of food to Lord Krishna as a mark of their love and devotion.
- Janmotsav Aarti: A heartfelt aarti was performed to honor Lord Krishna’s birth.
- Darshan and Teerth Prasad: Devotees were blessed with darshan and teerth prasad, marking the end of the night’s celebrations.
Day 2: Nandotsav Gopalkala Matki Utsav (August 27, 2024)
- Time: 10:00 AM onwards
- Highlights:
- Traditional Dahi Handi: The joyful event featured men and women forming human pyramids to break the matki, symbolizing the playful nature of Lord Krishna.
- Community Participation: The event showcased the enthusiasm, teamwork, and devotion of all participants, making it a true community celebration.
